We partnered with Ma Este Színház!, Hungary’s largest last-minute theatre ticket platform, to upgrade their system and improve the user experience as they expanded services across the country.
Ma Este Színház! wanted to grow beyond Budapest and partner with theatres nationwide. However, their existing platform couldn't handle the increased traffic, and they were facing high customer churn due to slow response times and a cumbersome checkout process. Our mission was to enhance their platform’s scalability and user experience.
We upgraded the backend—which was integrated with a ticketing system that every theatre in the country used —from a monolithic PHP system to a microservices architecture using Node.js, dramatically improving load times from 5–10 seconds to just 0.5 seconds.
We also simplified the checkout process, reducing the steps from 5 to 2, which significantly improved the user experience and reduced the churn rate to just 5%. Additionally, we provided technology consulting for strategic partnerships with MasterCard and OTP Bank.

The upgraded platform now supports tens of thousands of users nationwide, with a much smoother experience for both theatres and customers. Ma Este Színház! successfully expanded their seller base and continues to reduce customer churn.
